4 Steps to Harness and Apply the Power of your Awakening Consciousness
The main reason your consciousness awakens is to serve your body.
Life is your body’s journey, not your soul’s journey. The soul incarnates to move through a very specific process. When you are born, the soul inhabits the body in its fully awake and aware state. Then, as you grow older and are conditioned by society, your consciousness falls asleep and forgets why you are on earth. The last step is awakening. During this phase, your soul remembers its purpose and can act out its highest wisdom.
Awakening is primarily in service to your body. You wake up to remember that your job is to serve your body so that you can be as healthy, aware, and loving towards yourself and others as possible. Think of your body as a child and your soul and consciousness as parents. As the soul and consciousness that you are, your job is to guide, protect, nourish and love your body.
This is one of the most straightforward yet demanding jobs of the soul. As a spiritual being, it can be tempting to want to focus on the seemingly more exciting aspects of spirituality such as higher dimensions, light codes, parallel timelines and more.
However, none of that can fully be accessed without a grounded and nourished body. The more awake you become, the better you treat your body. Here are the four most important steps to take to honor your body and fast track the expansion of your consciousness.
- 1. Reconnect with your body each morning. Upon waking, place your hands over your solar plexus chakra, right above your navel. This area is the center for personal empowerment, identity, and confidence. Feel where your hands meet your body and then move your awareness to the area of your abdomen that is a few inches under your hands. When you sleep, your awareness leaves the body and parts of your energy can stay outside of the body upon waking. To maintain a cohesive energy field and feel fully enmeshed and in tune with your body, say these words aloud or in your mind. “I call all aspects of my soul back to me now. Any fragments of my soul that are floating in the ethers or in different dimensions, timelines or space I welcome back into my body now”. Feel or imagine the area underneath your hands lighting up as you full command and utilize your energy.
- 2. Make hydrating a priority. Use a water bottle you love and keep it with you throughout the day. If you would like to maximize the hydrating potential of your water, add a squeeze of lemon or lime. This will alkalize the water and promotes digestion.
- 3. Eat to fuel your body. There are so many food choices, which can be overwhelming. When choosing what to eat ask yourself, “does this fuel my body or harm my body”? On the occasion you consciously indulge in a food that isn’t the healthiest option, do so with full approval and enjoyment. A majority of the time, choose the food that fuels and nourishes you.
- 4. Move every day. Your body was created to be active and move. Choose a form of physical activity you love, and make sure you move every day. While it’s important to include more rigorous activity a few days a week, also try out activity that is less strenuous and slow enough so that you can focus on the synchronization of your body and breath. A great place to start is with Yin Yoga, which is a slow series of long-held, passive poses. Most importantly, do what lights you up! Moving your body should be fun so try out a dance class, swimming, hiking, yoga. . . and keep trying out different forms of movement until you find one you love.
These are just a few suggestions to begin honoring your body. Tune in to see what your body needs and how you can meet that need. Most of the time, you won’t need to meditate for a longer period of time or study more spiritual techniques. Rather, try slowing down, tuning in and giving yourself a drink of water, a snack or a nap. It really can be that simple.
As you take better care of your body, your consciousness will wake up more profoundly than before and radiate it’s highest wisdom and light to everyone around you.
